Overview

The Q-net-Q project aims to integrate and test quantum key distribution (QKD) in real ICT networks. To this end, we have designed four different test fields that cover various use cases and challenges of quantum communication in Germany. These test fields enable us to evaluate the technology under real-world conditions, test its stability and scalability, and gain important insights for the future rollout of a Europe-wide quantum communication infrastructure (EuroQCI).
